Dissolve transition tints video purple

I am trying to add dissolving transitions between several images in my video. I am doing it by dragging the clips over one another. My problem is that the dissolve effect noticeably tints the images purple during the transition, which I’d like to avoid. See the attached mp4 file for an example:

How can I resolve this issue or work around it?

I am using Shotcut version 25.11.2 on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, installed using Snap.

Try using Settings > GPU Effects, which does image processing with linear color. Linear color processing on CPU is a work-in-progress. You will not be able to open an existing project or convert it to GPU Effects, but at least you can test if that works. Either way,
