I’d like to request a small feature: have a setting that lets you tell Shotcut to display the full project path in the title bar. Sometime I’ll be editing 2 projects with the same project file name and it’d be useful to be able to distinguish between them.
I don’t know your workflow, but wouldn’t it make your life easier if you simply gave your projects slightly different names?
my-project-01.mlt
my-project-02.mlt
I’m often copying a project’s whole directory in my workflow so I guess I could rename the project file but it’d be better to see the whole path.
Did you notice in the 25.03.29 release we added the full project path to the titlebar.
I am interested in feedback in this change. The downside is that the taskbar label in Windows shows the full path (obviously truncated). I don’t show labels in the Windows task bar, so it doesn’t bother me. But maybe it hurts the workflow for other people.
My humble opinion is that this is pointless, as the idea is to maximize the screen height↗️. If you press F11 in Linux, the title bar(all desktop) disappears…
This is useful for anyone when they have the same file names but different folders.
