Hello,
The deleted audio from my video clip is still playing in the background when exported. Here is what I ran into:
- I exported the audio from my 4k video clip as a WAV file (so I could clean up clicks and other odd noises in the audio in Audacity).
- Then cleaned up the audio before importing the cleaned up audio as a WAV file into Shotcut.
- Then I detached the original audio from the video track in Shotcut, and deleted the audio track with the original audio.
- Then created a new audio track and placed the cleaned up audio in the timeline. Saved the changes.
- Then exported the file as an MP4 file (with YouTube presets).
- When I play the generated MP4 file, I again hear clicks and other odd noises (which were in the original audio, but definitely not in the cleaned up audio file). The audio also had an “echo-like” quality to it.
- This leads me to suspect that the deleted original audio was somehow still not actually flushed from the video clip. The only way I could eliminate the clicks etc was to click the Mute button in the video track (even though there was no audio attached to it).
Windows 10 Pro (version 22H2)
Shotcut version: 24.09.13
Yes, the problem is repeatable. This was happening in every video I created.
I am unable to attach the Application log, as it exceeds the 32k limit for this posting. I am happy to send it if you can advise me how I can get it to you.
Thank you in advance for your assitance.
