Delete recent files

Hello,
I’m using Shotcut version 24.11.17 on a Win11 PC and I just noticed that the option “Delete recently opened files when exiting” no longer works.
Any ideas?
Thank you very much for your support.
Timo

Are you looking at View > Recent or Projects?

Hello,
here is a screenshot of my reported problem. The files are not removed from the list although the said option has been selected.
Best regards
Timo

I have the same problem

Those are not “Recent” you are showing “Projects”. You can right click a project to open a menu with Remove.

That worked nicely, thanks :+1:

Thank you for pointing out that this is not “Recent”. It is actually logical if it says “Projects”. However, if I try to remove the entries under “Projects” by right-clicking, this does not work permanently. For example, as soon as I close the program and open it again, the entries are there again.

I don’t think I understand this “Projects” window. Until now, it has always been “Recent” with the most recently opened projects. What is “Projects” all about? What is displayed here? At least not the most recently opened projects.
If I open an existing project, it does not appear here.

I would like to delete individual projects completely and these should no longer be displayed in Shotcut.

That was a bug that was already fixed.

Did you read the linked duplicate post? The behavior was already was already changed for the next version to also clear the Projects list.
