I have created a video, but my audio track lasts too long, it makes a black blank screen with sound.
I would like to cut out part of the audio, but can’t seem to figure out how.

Disable (mute) audio on your video track.
Create a new audio track (Ctrl+U) and copy the video to it. Then you can edit the audio track’s length.
