Cursor disappearing when moved to specific places

What is your operating system?
I’m on Linux (endeavouros). I’m also using wayland with the Hyprland window manager.

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)?
My Shotcut bersion is 24.02

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
This bug only occurs on Wayland. I don’t know if its a Hyprland specific problem.
the cursor disappears when i move it to specific places and its really annoying.
The bug happens on a fresh install of Shotcut and Hyprland(wayland window manager). It doesn’t occur on xfce4 (xorg).

Looks like it happens when the mouse cursor is changed to a certain shape. It is a problem specific to this system configuration that we will not be able to fix in our code. Maybe the problem is in your mouse theme.

Thanks for the reply! I’ve tested my cursor icons with this website: CSS { cursor : } Test and all of them work…

I found a solution to my problem! :slight_smile: By running “env -u WAYLAND_DISPLAY shotcut” which forces shotcut to run trough xwayland the bug is fixed but i dont know if it has any impact on performance.
