Cropping, zooming and moving to make a 3x2 split screen video

I’m taring my hair out trying to make this work.

I have 6 1920X1080 video clips that I want to position in a 3x2 grid. (Google tells me I need them to be 640x540 or 16:13.5 for this). In most, if not all, the clips I want to zoom and/or crop out stuff in the edges of the frame anyway as I planned for this.

So far I’ve tried:

Size, position and rotation - can’t get the aspect ratio I want without it either locking to 16:9, distorted image or black bars.

Crop: rectangle - With this I can get the box the correct shape, and if I zoom with the SPR-filter I can get the part of the video I want in the box. Apply to source somehow turns it to 16:9 again.

But now I can’t for the life of me move this together, like it’s working like a mask. I can move the crop-box, but that does not move the image. I tried using a mask instead, but that worked the same way (as I expected it should). I can’t add another SPR-filter on top because that covers and affects the entire 16:9 box.

How do I do this? If I can only get the box to be 640x540 with the part of the clip I want showing in that box, then that box to be able to be positioned WITH the part of the clip along inside it.

Hi @Patrik_Bernstein_Alm
Here’s one possible way to do it.
Hope this is clear enough.
Don’t hesitate to ask if something needs to be clarified.

Awesome! I actually figured it out yesterday but didn’t have time to do more than one, so thanks a bunch for reminding me there’s a copy/paste for the filters. Also great to have the positions here as well!
