Cropping: opacity does not work

I want to show 2 videos at the same time.
I used filters : size and position and then crop rectangle
when cropping, I can´t set opacity to 0. When I set Alpha Channel to 0, nothing happens and I cant see the video on the second layer…
I´m using version 5.9.7

Any ideas?

Hi @Karl_Weiller. Welcome to the forum.

Use the Transparent button to set the opacity opacity to zero.

If you try to set the opacity manually, you encounter the same problem as in the topic bellow.

Well @ejmillan you beat me by a few minutes But I’d still like to display the video capture I made to show a small bug (and also because I didn’t want my capture to go to waste ). If (like me) you don’t think of using the Reset to default arrow and try set the Alpha channel manually to zero, it doesn’t work with black. You need to first choose a different color, then go back and set Alpha to zero. [2020-12-19_04.50.14]

Hi @MusicalBox, problem is solved. I was using an older version of shotcut from Mach,
That version didn´t have a “transparent” button.
