What is your operating system?
Windows 10 Pro

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)? Is it 32-bit?

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
(Please be specific and use the names as seen in Shotcut, preferably English. Include a screenshot or screen recording if you can. Also, you can attach logs from either View > Application Log or right-click a job and choose View Log.)

You have applied a least one filter to V2.
What filter(s) have you applied to the Track Header on V2?

Move the Chroma Key Advanced to the clips.

Very important that Chroma Key is first in order in the filters list as shown above.

Thanks! Ill try to remove it. But how about i wanted to make it in the same track, but using different files? And it also happen with the fade in fade out, whicj is just wont work…

Fade does work.

fade in fade out.txt (41.3 KB)

somehow i believe this is a bug, because i often encounter this on my students notebook

There was a change starting with version 21.09.20

Shotcut - New Version 21.09.20

You must have this version or a newer version of Shotcut.
There is no bug. Shotcut is working correctly.

In your video you have nothing underneath V3. If you had that clip on V1, it would work as you thought it should. With your last video just untick the checkbox, and opacity fade will work again.

With nothing on the bottom track.

With something on the bottom track.

Whelp! That’s strange, most people want to fade so the just use the fade in/out, but by default, you need to tick something else. Can i set it to default to tick it? Its just too much hasle when youre done editing with lots of clips, but, you forgot to tick the Opacity box.

Btw, this happen also to Crop Filter. You select crop, but when you done cropping, you need to click the ‘Transparent’ button. I wonder why would people croping their video, but Shotcut let the cropped one still intact with the video…
