Crop: Circle disabled

Hi!

As I can see in the details shotcut has Crop: Circle feature. I installed it on my Arch Linux but this feature not visible or disabled. I have this version of the shotcut: Shotcut version ARCH-20.09.27

Do you have any information about it, why this feature is not visible or disabled?

Thank you for your help!

Crop: circle works for me on windows - not sure about Linux?

It is because you are not using a version built by us and listed in our download page.

You were right! Now I downloaded this version: Shotcut version 20.10.31
There is also no option for Crop: Circle.

Yes there is in portable, snap, AppImage, and flatpak (you did not specify). Maybe you are only looking through the favorite filters.

I made a videot about the process. My linux version is:

You are running bin/shotcut. That is wrong as stated on the download page under Linux portable tar users :

double-clicking the shotcut shell script. Do not try to run bin/shotcut directly

No. I found the problem.

Crop: Circle feature depend on mlt filter qtcrop which is not supported on latest mlt.

That is why it is not working.

The builds we provide bundle their dependencies including MLT, which is newer than the latest release since we develop that as well. When you run the portable binary directly it does not find that MLT, it finds whatever happens to be on your system or nothing. When you run the launch script, it uses the bundled MLT that includes the crop filter.

You are right! Now it fixed! I hade to use “Exec” command from Shotcut.desktop file. Thank you!
