Crash while manual tracking Crop: Rectangle

What is your operating system?
Ubuntu 24.04
Shotcut package located at home, app launched from there.

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)?
24.11.17

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
No. Experienced similar crash a couple of weeks ago but didn’t save the log.

On changing filter parameters app crashed.

Did the crash happen on the same filter parameters?

It’s hard to say, however unlikely - videos are different. Both times issue happened when during the playback ‘Crop: Rectangle’ filter was continuously moved by mouse to track moving object.

Another crash (logs uploaded). Different video, the same filters.

In the log it looks like gpu acceleration during editing is on, maybe you try to turn this off.
These feature does make crashes from time to time and on some devices it crashes always.

What parameter in settings controls GPU acceleration, please?

Incorrect

[Info ] ShotcutSettings::log GPU processing false

The logs are consistent with the updated subject, but I have not been able to reproduce on my Linux system. Will try elsewhere. Are there other filters on the clip that has the Crop: Rectangle filter you are adjusting? If so, show a screenshot of the list of filters on that clip please.

Please find the screenshot uploaded, previous crash was with the same filters, but crash both times happened during adjusting the Crop: Rectangle.

Thanks for that update. After adding Gaussian Blur I tried again a few times both with 24.11 release build AppImage and local work build in a debugger. Since this is very resource intensive, I recommend that you use Proxy, Preview Scaling, and disable the blur filter temporarily while manual tracking. I do not know if that makes it more reliable for you but worth a shot. I tested both with Proxy and Preview Scaling on as well as off.

Disable the blur filter - just uncheck the checkbox next to the filter name?

yes
