I knew absolutely nothing about creating videos or running a channel. I couldn’t use any video processing programs. But I committed myself, learned to use the Shotcut, and within a few months, I was making my own videos from scratch.
My videos offer a relaxing escape with background jazz music (mostly jazz genre songs from YT free audio library) and peaceful visuals of a cat cafe lounge.
Still there is lots of to learn about the video editing with Shotcut, but I hope you enjoy my videos, as I do enjoy the video making process.
New video, made with Shotcut… But YouTube is chopping 1/3 -1/2 of my views and watch hours and showing my videos on area of small rural village of south of Malta according to YouTube Studio analytics, keeping my channel suffocating all the time.

My channel name is “Jazz Essence - Cat Cafe Lounge”
I can not include the link to the video here, because YouTube removes all the views from direct links as suspicious.
I am back… As I am uploading 3 videos weekly, there is plenty of new stuff since my last entry.
Today there is the rainy cozy jazz lounge with the perfect Bensound jazz music with cute pets.

you know, to prevent the removing your view from the count I am not inserting the direct link to my video…
You could share a link to your channel though (in each post). I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t change anything in the view count of any of your videos. And visitors here wouldn’t need to search for your channel. People are lazy you know.
I think you made a very amazing job. This niche, although sometimes upsets Youtube about monetization, I think attracts many viewers due to the fact that’s truly relaxing.
May I ask how you solve the loss of the “compound” function that’s crucial in these kind of videos? What workaround did you apply?
