Compression audio filter bug

Shotcut V 25.12.31 and 26.1.16 (beta test)

  • AppImage downloaded from shotcut.org
  • OS: Linux Mint MATE 22.3

User interface problems

  • the “About dynamic range compression” is not accessible
    • Expected behavior: open a link in the browser, but it’s not clickable
  • Gain Reduction graph: is not accessible nor re-acting to any settings made in the sliders above
    • Expected behavior: because there is a little blue/cyan on the right side I thought I could drag it, not possible
    • So second expected behavior that blue/cyan “bar” moving while I’m using the sliders above, but it does not react to any setting, nor channels, neither reacting while playing a song.

It is working for me. It opens a page to Dynamic range compression - Wikipedia

But I recall that some things in our non-Flatpak Linux builds may lack full desktop integration that affects other things as well such as Show In Folder. I will simply remove that link after the documentation is done.

Gain reduction is a graph and and not interactive. It verified it is working but you are not doing anything that causes it to reduce. Try this: add a Gain filter before it and crank it all of the way up.

Ok, I got it to work, with and without the gain filter.
I put the link in the doc (at the bottom), it can be VERY useful
Thank you, have a great day!
