Changing mp3 track beginning and end

I added an mp3 to a video track and want to set the exact beginning and end.
The only thing I have figured out is grabbing the left or right sides and sliding in and out.
But this way does not tell me the mp3 times, just +/- time added = length…

Do not use the timeline trimming for this task. Use the Source player to trim. You can copy the timeline clip, and it goes to the Source player. After that, you can overwrite, insert, or append it to a timeline track.
