I changed my computer a while back and Shotcut and my projects are still on the old machine. Is there a simple process to bring them over or is it best just to buy a new copy? I have been a user for a couple of years and didn’t want to start as a new user,
If you bought it on the Microsoft store you simply log into the new computer with the same Microsoft account, and you can restore the purchase to the new computer through the store app. You can copy all your project and media files to the new computer. It is best to keep the same organization of folders. If the linked media files are not found when opening the project, Shotcut will show a dialog to let you see what is missing to either copy more files or relink the files to their new locations.
