Change clip-in point lags, becomes a transition, and doesn't appear in history

I had an audio track roughly where the red line is. I wanted to change the clip-in point to match the audio tracks neighboring above and below, as well as the video in track V3. While dragging the clip in, shotcut froze up, and then the clip extended way too far to the left, overlapped another track, and the entire audio clip I had selected turned into an audio transition. Most annoyingly, it did not appear in the history list, so it can’t be fixed with a simple ctrl+z

What is your operating system?
Windows 10 22H2

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)?

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
No. The problem appears intermittently. This is the first time it has happened this year, so it’s far from a common occurrence. It has happened a few times before in years prior.
