Can't Export - Failed with exit code 1

Whenever I try to export a video to mp4 using the H.264 High Profile settings, it fails to export and the log and XML say “Failed with exit code 1” at the end. Help??? I’m using version 18.01, but it started doing this when I downloaded the latest version.

Which version did you get the error on?
Do you have two versions installed?
Version 18.01 is not the latest version.
Version 18.06.02 is the latest version, and can be downloaded here:

I got the error on version 18.06.02. I thought it might just be a bug with that version so I installed version 18.01 and it still did it. I made sure I completely uninstalled version 18.06.02 before I installed version 18.01.

You haven’t told us anything about your computer type and specs or which OS you are using.
Also tell us about your Shotcut settings and maybe what editing you have done and which filters used.

I’m having the same problem. It only started when I switched to 22.06.03.
I am running Windows 10 Pro 21H2 rev 19044.1706.

I have also tried many other formats/codecs but the same result

When I try to export with MP4…Default codec for format I get exit error 1

I am only using a stereo audio file as an input adding on a spectrum audio display,
as well as glow and vertigo

As a test I created a new movie with just a couple of seconds of black
and exported at my usual 1280x720 29.97 mp4 with libx264 codec…

This is the log from the render

This file is probably locked down by anti-virus software, or by Windows Protected Folders.

Yes, that was it!
Odd how the issue only happened with the newest version of Shotcut.
Anyhow I moved the folder to be a root off C: and now it is fine.

Thanks
