Can you add text to a transition?

Hi and thank you. Is it possible to add text while a frame is transitioning? I have played with it but get a big black INVALID message. Just wondering if it can be done? Will look back over the full training tutorial to see if it was done there. (-:

Yes. On a separate video track right above the transition clip place a transparent clip with the Text filter. Fastest way to access it is to go to Open Other > Text.

We did it as a tag team.

Survives saving in a project, reload, and export.
