Can only see the first and last frame in timeline

I have the latest version of Shotcut. When importing a video and adding it to the timeline only the first frame and the last are being showed. In between it’s just empty. What am I doing wrong?

You’re not doing anything wrong. This is just how Shotcut works.
But there is an entry about this in the Road Map list
