When copying a track that has a dissolve, the previous part remains frozen (stopped) during the dissolve transition.
Three things concern me about this:
Compared to the result of pasting the source (original) track into Notepad, the text volume when pasting the pasted (copied) track into Notepad has increased.
During playback, additional noise is introduced in the copied track that wasn’t present in the original.
The behavior when doing an extract/lift (Z) also differs.
Is this simply the software’s inherent specification/design, and therefore something that can’t be helped?
Thanks for your report. I reporduced this. Here are the steps I took:
Add two clips to the timeline and drag one to make a transition
Move the cursor to the end of the timeline
Ctrl-A (select all)
Ctrl-C (copy)
Ctrl-V (paste)
Play the second transition that was pasted. I observe that the buzzing sound starts loud and fades out. This makes me think that the buzzing is the audio from the first clip in the transition while the second clip in the transition is good.
Thank you for taking the time to reproduce the issue and share your observations.
I appreciate your detailed confirmation.
If you have any plans to address this behavior in a future update, I would be glad to know.
Please let me know if you need any additional information from my side.
Thank you very much, Brian.
I had been struggling with this issue for a long time and had almost given up on it.
I honestly didn’t expect that you would be able to fix it, and I’m truly grateful for your help.
Knowing that it will be improved in the next version is a great relief to me.
