Black bars being added back in

Now I have been editing video in order to remove 240pixel black bars down the left and right hand side using the crop filter using steps found else where as follows
Open shotcut.
Select a non broadcast res
Open file to be cropped
Apply crop
Set video mode automatic

This works and I have MLT files saved with the crop - however when I try to export using lossless it’s adding the cropped black bars back in with the following messages in the log file - is there anyway to stop this.

{ Trimmed version the log repeats this quite a few times }

Yes that’s what I had been doing Steve and successfully I think one of the options that I had specified in other caused some sort of weird behavior and added the bars back in, since then I have rebooted the machine after installing the latest version of Shotcut and all seems to be behaving.

I am now trying to find out exactly what started adding the cropped black bars back in again.

I don’t find a “crop video” filter?
