Black and white squares frame before each cut

Hi, in all version after 25.12.31, when I use shotcut to edit my TS stream, which are remux first in an MKV envelop, on each cut, it add a frame with black and white squares on exporting…

Could you find an issue to that problem as before, there were no problem.

I always need to roll back to 25.12.31

Most of our media seeking capability comes from FFMpeg - which has been updated since that 25.12 version that you were using. Maybe a change in FFMpeg is causing poor seeking. TS is notoriously bad for editing due to difficult frame seeking. Remuxing to MKV is helpful - but the video stream encoding from broadcast is still difficult to seek for an editor.

A sure-fire way to get better seeking is to use Convert to Edit-friendly Dialog. Maybe you don’t want the extra time and storage required to convert all your media. But it might be worth trying it as a test just to be sure that it solves your problem. If it does, we can blame the issue on file seeking.

I will take the time to try by converting as you are suggesting me to do, but I want to lose the less time possible…
I will give you an update as soon as I did it.
