Wenn in den Einstellungen Audio auf 5.1 gestellt wird und ein längerer Clip mit 5.1 Audio geladen wird, sind trotzdem nur zwei Audiospuren sichtbar.
Dan and ShotCut,
thanks for all updates … very usefull …
I just have a doubt : what is nudging timeline clips ? any example …
thanks in advance !!!
It moves the selected clips a tiny bit to the right or to the left on the timeline
A nudge moves the clip exactly one video frame, actually.
Hi @brian, for the kind of detailed and complex timelines I usually work with, the nudge feature is REALLY useful, so thank you. Also the shortcuts , and . are inspired! Brilliant.
That is the dreaded OpenSSL 3 broken compatibility problem typical on Linux that I will not be addressing. Qt uses OpenSSL 1.x while the distro upgrades to OpenSSL 3 that is not backwards compatible. For example, it works on Ubuntu 20.04 with OpenSSL 1.1.1 but not Ubuntu 22.04 with OpenSSL 3.0. It might be improved the next time I update Qt. It works in the Flatpak regardless.
Player Controls buttons
Windows 11 23H2 Build 22631.3007
Shotcut Version: 24.01.13 zip
Related to these changes:
- Added Player > Loop \ and Player > Set Loop Range to the menu and player controls.
- Changed the player controls to automatically adapt to 2 rows so the In Point and Selected Duration show more reliably,
The control buttons are not visible below the player. Only ‘In Point’ appears on the top of the player. Minimizing the player window makes the buttons appear.
This happens every time Shotcut is opened.
I have not figured out how to reproduce it. Do the controls appear when opening media or project? It is not super important to show the media controls when there is nothing to control.
With or without media or project, the controls don’t appear with my usual preset.
Appears only if Shotcut has been closed with a minimized window like this:
This appears to be an old bug from a while back from the size of the startup windows.
Bad width.
Good width.
In other words, if you resize to this, it will default to the first example, until you resize the entire Shotcut program.
I’ve never had this problem with older versions and a large Editing, FX or Player window. I’m not a specialist at all, but it seems to be the addition of Loop and the adapt 2 rows that is causing the problem in this case.
It is, and I reproduced it by turning on View > Show Small Icons. Not entirely certain that is required, but now it is in the state to debug it.
Good news. Thank you, Dan. In the meantime, I’ll display the large icons.
The player controls problem is fixed.
I feel export job much much slower … take more time to finish
It is just your imagination until you actually conduct a before-after comparison between versions using the exact same project. Very little changed between versions that could have affected it.
True!
First time I exported something with the BETA release I also had the feeling that it took much longer than it should have. But exporting the same project with v23.12.15 took about the same time.
I tried again with different projects and found no significant difference between the versions.
Thanks, I just tested it too and got the same time. In case someone does have a significant difference you need to watch Shotcut v24.01 the entire time. If you ever see the low memory warning dialog appear; the export job is now paused while this is showing. And the dialog can go away on its own now if memory becomes available; so you may not even notice it if not paying attention. The completed job duration reflects the time paused as well.
