Good evening. I’m trying out Shotcut for the first time and I was wondering what is the best (fastest) possible workflow that is equivalent to kdenlive’s “Tint” filter, also sometimes called “Colorize”. Essentially I need to set a specific RGB color such that pure white pixels in a clip will become that color and all other pixels will become proportionate to that color.
Blend mode is one of the options, there is not a lot of choices, though, but you get the most important ones (Screen, Multiply, etc…)
Color Grading is another option
A combination of both can be made as well (color grade a duplicate clip and blend it below)
In addition to the above post, there can also be a Saturation filter added first in the list, set to 0% to make a pure grayscale image, and then use one of the methods above to colorize the grayscale. This will prevent extraneous colors from leaking through the tint.
