You say that Shotcut automatically adds an audio track (A1) and an empty video track (V3).
It was true in version 25.10. But in version 25.12, the default state of Settings > Timeline > Automatically Add Tracks was reverted to OFF. -
Just a minor technicality, but the audio in your video is a bit low compared with other YouTube videos.
If you right-click your video and enable the Stats for nerds overlay, you’ll see that the content loudness is at -19.1dB.
I checked a few other YouTube videos and the content loudness are all somewhere between -5dB and -10dB.
Like I said, not a big thing, but I thought I’d mention it, in case you didn’t know.
Thanks for the kind words and feedback. Good point on the auto-track addition. I’ll make sure to update that in the future update. And thanks for the audio tip. I’ll check out the loudness levels and adjust accordingly, aiming for that -5 to -10dB range sounds like a good plan. Appreciate you sharing the ‘Stats for nerds’ trick.,
Hello Musical Box
Thank you for this very informative video for beginners. Shotcut has become international thanks to its quality and highly responsive website.
Why is it only available in English? YouTube offers a way to translate it into any spoken language, not just the graphical translation, which is sometimes illegible due to poor translation. Furthermore, it’s difficult to follow the various explanatory steps while simultaneously reading the prompts.
Therefore, could you recommend that all tutorial creators provide free verbal translations so that everyone can benefit from this excellent application?
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely
Hi @Epsilon85
I didn’t make the tutorial, @TLR_Pictures did.
