Background turns black during transition

Hey guys what’s up I’m trying to make this scene transition between clips with the standard shotcut method (dragging one clip over part of the other) while having a layer with a background underneath the layer with the two clips. However, now everytime the transition plays between the clips, said background goes completely black only during the transition. Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong, please help! Thanks! I wasn’t sure how to word it without explaining the whole situation so apologies if this is a done to death topic <_<

It would help to pinpoint the problem if you’d share another screen capture.

Make sure that:

1. You leave the Playhead inside the transition.
2. The transition is selected in the timeline.
3. And that we still see the Properties panel.

Please also mention what version of Shotcut you are using.

Add an Alpha Channel: Adjust to the clips that are being used for the transition.
