I’m new to Shotcut (but not totally new to video editors, although it’s been some time).
What I’m trying to do is include two audio tracks, each dedicated to one person talking. Then, I would like to automatically trigger a particular graphic to show when one of the audio tracks achieves a particular loudness threshold. When the other person starts to talk, the other graphic triggers. In silence, a third graphic is triggered. The transition can be either sudden or cross-faded.
Is this possible, and how can I do it? Any ideas?
