Shotcut 25.03.29
Hi, I would like to report a minor audio bug… I can’t reproduce it 100%, but it often happens to me when I open a new Shotcut window, drag a clip in the timeline, and split off and remove (with X) a part at the beginning that I want to cut. Often when I play the video in the editor now (Spacebar), the video doesn’t play any audio - I have to pause and resume and then the audio plays.
Right now I tried to reproduce it and actually had to pause and resume multiple times for the audio to play… opened Shotcut, dragged clip in timeline, Split at Payhead, Ripple Delete, Alt-Left to go to start, Play and… no audio.

I have not experienced it. Maybe it depends on Settings > Player > Audio API on your system.

Same problem here, under GNU/Linux…

I’ve never touched any of these settings, mine is set to “Waveform Audio (default)”, what is yours set to? Should I try one of the others? DirectSound? WASAPI? (I have no idea what these are… but they only affect playback in Shotcut, not any exported files, right?)
I guess forget that advice. You either need to wait for a developer to experience the problem or learn how fix it yourself by learning the code.
I guess I could still try to change the Audio API and hope?
That setting only affects the player, not any exported files tho, right?
Of course, it only affects playback in Shotcut
