Any shortcut to select or delete previous clip right after splitting?

Whenever you split a clip in two, the latter clip is automatically highlighted, and I can just press “delete” or “ctrl + x” to get rid of that part.

I’m wondering if there’s a way to delete the clip right before that or select it using the keyboard instead of having to click on the previous clip to highlight it and delete it.

(b/c it’s pretty bothersome when making multiple splits on a very long clip since the timeline scale is reduced a lot and you have to magnify the timeline a lot to be able to click on a really small clip.
