I do a lot of speeding up clips to cut out “dead air” so to speak and I keep having to check that “pitch compensation” box each time. Is there a setting that I can flip to automatically enable it each time or maybe a hotkey (I didn’t see one in the shortcuts box). I was considering using the “Speed remap” or “Forward only” filters but I have my VO track separate from the Video. I tried it and it doesn’t look like it syncs the two (which makes sense but also makes it not very useful for multi track). Is there a faster method maybe I’m missing for my workflow?
Right now, I just split the video clip between times of not speaking and then raise the speed then click that pitch compensation. It’s not really a big issue but there are instances where I’m trying to do something and would prefer not to have to jump cut or add transitions and I think having a quick “Fast forward” is better.
Fair enough. Can get lost in the sauce. Though, if you ever support multiple tracks per file that would be cool. I currently use OBS to put them all in one mkv and then use python/ffmpeg to extract the VO track and then drop that in separately.
Wait … WHAT?!?!?!? Well … Shoot! Yup, I see it now. Well there’s a bunch of wasted time haha! Okay well that will cut down on that step at least. … I guess If I was to use that “Speed: Forward Only” filter I would have to apply it to the VO track and then copy and paste it between them and then it would sync. Maybe I’ll give that a try and see if that helps my workflow.
