I had an idea - to create animated “staggered” text using my Blip-bounce filter-set…
So, I wrote an Auto HotKey script to automate exporting all letters of the alphabet (both capital and lower case), plus non-letter characters, as MOV files…
I chose the font “Grilled Cheese”.
Then I used them to create my animated text.
Here’s a demo video of how I did it… there’s no spoken instructions (didn’t have time) - but I hope folks can follow what I did:
OK it’s a bit of a palaver… and it uses multiple tracks…and a bit of mixing-down (which isn’t for everyone)… but it works for what I want it for - classy animated short titles for my flute videos.
I’m offering the set of my alphabet MOV files for free download to any user who can make use of them. Here’s the link:

My (quite complex) AHK script allows me to fairly easily make further sets of alphabet letters, with different fonts and different animations. If I make any more sets, I’ll share them here.
You can alternatively use Text:Simple clips instead of pre-exported alphabet letters. However, in this case, because the blip-bounce effect involves two SPR filters - one zooming at the centre, and the other one for positioning, it gave a different effect. Not a bad one though, in fact it was a good alternative.
