Advice on Multi-track Video Editing

I need to create a video that has two different views of the same person talking using two camera angles (one from the front and one from the side). I want to jump from one view to the other and back again but not have any interuption in the audio line. I have two cameras and lots of mics. How should I line the two streams up in Shotcuts - and how do I make the ‘jump’ from one stream to the other? Also cncerned about lipsync problems if I use one sound track and superimpose the other video over a ‘common’ sound track. Thinking I should have a mic linked to each camera … but then identical sound levels would be required. Help!!! Andy W

Put each video on its own track and align them using the above. Then, edit out the parts of the upper video track when you want to show the lower video track. If you want to ask how to edit, please watch tutorials. There are many to choose from. It is basic operations.

Mute one of the tracks.
