Adding to timeline a mlt as a clip with different fps crashes shotcut

What is your operating system?
Windows 10 x64

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)?
24.10.29 (tested a few other versions back to 22.12, all crash)

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
-create a new project with 1080p30 fps video mode (and add a 5min colour clip), save
-create a new project, set video mode to 1080p60, try to load the previsouly saved mlt as clip (I just drag and dropped to playlist and it seemed to load fine - except the reported duration is all wrong, then drag it to timeline).
-shotcut crashes a few seconds later

Note: Iā€™m just reporting about the crash, Iā€™m not requesting to make it work with different fps mlt in mlt - in my case I just had a different video mode by mistake left over from a previous project so I spent the last 30 mins trying different shotcut versions thinking I must have saved the project on an older version and the new one doesnā€™t support it somehow.

So Iā€™m basically asking for some kind of popup message to let me know the mlt has a different fps or something instead of the crash.

I reproduced a crash on step ā€œdrag and dropped to playlistā€ related to auto-save. That seems a little coincidental since that runs on a timer. Still, a good find. After fixing that, I did not get an immediate crash when dragging to the timeline. However, upon playing, there was a horrible scratchy audio where there should be silence and eventually crashed in the audio mixing component.

I fixed the crash for the next version 24.11.

Those things are being worked on in a pull request for the version after next, and adding a warning dialog for the 24.11 is outside of that versionā€™s scope (important, low risk fixes only).
