I have a video with a saturation filter applied to it. I made a new track and added rich text onto it. I noticed that the saturation of the video changes slightly when the text is on screen. I have literally no clue why this is happening and I am going to assume its a bug.
I reproduced it.
But the Text: Rich filter is not part of the problem. It also occurs with a transparent clip.
Track V1 > Image clip with a Hue/Light/Saturation filter (all settings to default).
Track V2 > Transparent clip
EDIT: For me it only happens when Output > Properties > Color space > Edit is set to
ITU-R BT.709
No saturation issues if I change it to ITU-R BT.601
I changed the colorspace and it seems to have fixed it, thank you!
Not enough information. No video properties and exact filter not specified.
That is not a good solution. The colorspace of most video today is Rec. 709. SD and HDR are different.
I have not reproduced it when using a Rec 709 video and video mode (Automatic in this case) and the “Saturation” video filter.
Did you read my post?
I too reproduced it with Hue/Lightness/Saturation but also with a Rec. 709 color video source. This is fixed for the next version 25.01.
