Is there a way to use a Word fliter like type machine, and auto read a srt file to auto add all textline in srt with the same filter?
This is not available today unless you write a custom script (external program) to modify the project XML file. See this discussion that explains another tool that can do this and much more!
Is there a chance shotcut will add this feature in the future?
I added this to the Subtitle Burn In filter for the next version. When you turn it on, iot defaults to word-by-word with no cursor because I think that works better with subtitles. Of course, you can change it.

Thank you so much. I tried it out on ver-2026-4, and I love it.
Dear admin, i just wonder if we can add more text filter styles in that burn srt to screen option, i love type machine filter, maybe add neno light.
Dear Shotcut Team,
Hope you’re well. I was wondering if it might be possible to add more animated text styles to the Subtitle Burn-In (Burn SRT to screen) feature in a future update. I really love the current Typewriter effect—it works great for SRT subtitles. Would you consider adding a neon glow/neon light style too? That would make burned-in subtitles look much more dynamic and stylish.
Thanks for your hard work on this amazing tool!
Best regards,
