Add Filter thingy gone anyone knows how to get it back?

Have you tried clicking on the menu item: View->Layout->Restore Default Layout?

The reason I suggested restoring the default lauout is because the OP’s GUI does not look to be right. As you can see from a snapshot of my GUI below there are buttons for Playlist, Filters and Properties.

While the OP’s GUI does not show these:

That is OK. All of these layouts are customizable, but your suggestion probably does help a beginner get back to familiarity.
