It would be great if the default export preset could be changed by users.
Use case: I prefer to export my projects to H.264 lossless, but since I can’t make this the default, sometimes, especially after longer and more demanding editing sessions, this gets forgotten, and I then have to export again. Making my preferred preset the default would be a significant improvement.
Twice that. Having a customizable default export preset would save a lot of time and frustration. I use H.264 lossless too, and forgetting to set it after a long editing session happens often. When I used Movavi there was an unskippable window where I had to choose export format and quality before closing my project. Though, I had to click both options manually.
Saving presets would be a game-changer.
Would you prefer a general default export preset or that the most recent export settings are saved with the project?
What do you expect to happen if you click the Reset button inside Export?
Personally, I’d prefer an option for a general default setting, because I don’t see any usefulness in “most recent”. Export settings for a project are saved separatedly anyway.
The Reset button inside Export should revert to whatever has been set by the user, but in the Preset menu (in a new Export Settings entry) it should go back to the default programme settings.
