Love the new Elements panel in Shotcut! It’s super handy for grabbing emojis and other assets.
Could we get a search box added to the Elements panel, especially for the emojis? As the list is longer, it takes a while to scroll and find the exact one you want. Being able to just type a keyword to search would save a lot of time.
I thought about it, but these are file names and people probably expect to be able to search in their language. So, I would need to add a map of translatable name to file name. But that is several hundreds of names to be translated! Not nice to the volunteer translators. But also I have considered to provide a search hint that says “English only.” Meanwhile people can discover all that is available for future use by needing to browse.
When switching categories in the Emojis elements, the scroll bar doesn’t automatically go back to the top.
Some users might not notice that (at least at first) and miss some of the images.
Indeed, is it a voluntary behavior? I don’t know > but when I go back to a previous category I’m back exactly were I left, thus there is no need to search/scroll again which I like a lot
