Add 8K support to the Shotcut?

Hello,

It would be really great if you could edit and export the 8K video format. just a thought.

We could manually set the resolution to 8k in export, but after export the video doesn’t play in any of my players. I don’t know if it is a bug or I have did something wrong, but I don’t edit 8k videos too much, So it is not a problem for me at least for now.

Maybe they are using hardware accelerated decoding, and they do not support 8K. Try opening it in Shotcut.

VLC has an option to disable HW-decoding. See: https://wiki.videolan.org/VLC_HowTo/Hardware_acceleration/
