A white interface

Hello,
Shotcut latest version and PC i 7, 3.10Ghz and 8 GB of Ram.
When Shotcut starts up, the logo is displayed and a white interface is displayed. Although it cannot be used, the menus seem present when we click at random. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success making sure to reset the settings. This subject had already been mentioned. Taking care of a computer association and providing video editing courses, this problem is observed only on a machine!
Do you have some leads?

When I start the shotcut, a white window appears

This is a sign of incompatibiltiy with the OpenGL and DirectX on your system. You can try the registry files in the thread below to workaround. Otherwise, it cannot be fixed.

Thank you for the quick reply. I will explore the suggested avenues. Nevertheless, I am surprised because in the PC park, we have two identical Dell i7 PCs and the other does not have this anomaly! Almlez know why!

You didn’t state the Operating System nor Shotcut Version, nor if it’s 32bit or 64bit.
You also didn’t provide any sort of screenshot.
Is there Anti-Virus software running? If you turn off the AV software does it run then?
Is there a log file in the Appdata directory when Shotcut is closed?

Try this

No Display / Sound Only

Uninstall, use the portable version extracted to your Desktop, and then switch Display Method to Software using either the menu or the registry file. It will be slow in this mode but it seems neither DirectX or OpenGL works and that may be your only choice. The reason to use portable is that it needs to write to its program files to use a truly fail-safe Software display method, and it does not have permission to do that when installed.
