Wow! Before anything else, it’s such a pleasure to post on a good old-school forum. It instantly feels so much better than the toxic mess of social media.
We truly love Shotcut, we use it regularly, and we wanted to share this enthusiasm with our readers — and also to thank you for everything you’ve accomplished with Shotcut.
We love talking about the open-source tools we use and enjoy, and we just hope that excitement is contagious!
We’re not coders, so this is our way of being part of the open-source adventure. If we don’t talk about it, all the amazing work that gives us tools like Shotcut might never get the place it deserves. That’s how we see it.
By the way, since I’ve got the chance to chat with you — we’re about to launch a new interview series to highlight the vision and the journey behind open-source projects. We believe that open source is almost always presented in its technical aspect, and rarely in its human and philosophical aspect. And yet, we believe that this is what can really encourage people to take an interest in it and take the plunge.
We’d be thrilled to kick things off with you — would you like to be our very first guest?
