i use linux mint and flatpak, i open an new videoproject in 2160/29.7 and as soon as i want to render it, it reverts to 25frames/sec in the render window. is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?
If you click on Output (top left of timeline) and check the Properties panel, does it say 29.97 or 25?
i just checked it at the ouput as you showed, and its 25 frames/sec while i made the project at 2160/29.7. the aspect ratio seems to be unchanged in output.
same result when i try to export the video, aspect ratio is fine, the frames per second are wrong
Open Settings > Video Mode and choose a mode that is 29.97. You can also create a custom video mode if you want.

You think you did, but you did not. In the startup window if you change New Project > VIdeo Mode but do not click the Start button, and instead just start adding media, it does not use that selection. That option is only for creating a project folder, which only happens by affirming the choice by clicking Start. When not making a project folder, Settings > Video Mode is the default or current.
