21.02.27 win64 hanging on large files

What is your operating system? -> Windows 10 20H2 - latest updates and patches.
RAM : 32 GB.
SSD : 1TB with 500GB free space.
Processor : Intel® Xeon® CPU W3580 @ 3.33GHz 3.33 GHz
Graphics Controller: GeForce GTX 650 Ti with NVIDIA drivers v461.72

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)? Is it 32-bit? -> 21.02.27 win64

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?

Open a large video (1.2 GB mp4 file). Scroll around. Zoom in. Press play. Shotcut hangs for minutes at a time.

Removing 21.02.27, and installing 20.04.12 win64 and behavior doesn’t happen anymore. Feels like a regression.

For some people, anything version 20.10 or newer is significantly more laggy, but we do not know why. For others, based on reports, only version 20.11 or 21.01 were significantly more laggy but most recent version 21.02 resolved it.

I’m happy to put a sample file on a dropbox to see if it can be reproduced by others.

It’s not your file, and I am unable to reproduce. Changes do not always work for everyone.

Well… I’m thinking that if somebody can reproduce it might help generate proper debug logs. Or maybe I can help provide some, if told how to. I mean I can definitely work with 20.04… But if I can help fixing the issues of 21.02 and switch to “current” that would be better for me (and maybe for others)… Just trying to help.
