2 sets of clips, same formats, colours washed out with yellow streaks in only 1 set.

Issue: I have sets of clips I have been cutting together with Shotcut.
I have successfully used sets 1 through 5 without issue.
When I started a new project to cut together set 6, I noticed that the colours of the clips were all wrong - washed out, with a consistent pattern of transparent yellow streaks overlayed on the image (see below for comparison). The colour issue is present when I view the clips from playlist and in the timeline, but the correct colours show in the thumbnails of the clips in playlist and timeline.

I have loaded clip sets 1 through 5 alongside 6. 1 through 5 continue to have no issues within the same project environment. I have inspected the properties of all clips and they are exactly the same:

I have repeated the problem through multiple restarts. It only occurs with clip set 6. All clip sets were generated and exported using the same method in ImageJ, converting an image sequence into an AVI file.

I’ve done as much as I can looking for a solution online and now I turn to all of you! Happy to answer any further questions.

If you are willing to share a working and not-working clip with me, I can try to debug why it is not working.

In the meantime, as an interesting test, you could try to use the “Convert” option in the properties panel. Maybe a converted clip would have correct colors. This wouldn’t be a final solution, but might make it possible to keep going with your project if it is a workaround.

Is GPU Effects turned on?

GPU effects were off when I experienced this issue.
I have since turned them on and that fixed the problem.

Still weird that clip sets generated the same way and with the exact same format behave differently, but I don’t know enough about it.

Issue is fixed on my end, and I’d love to provide the clips if you’d like to investigate, but they are .avi and I can’t upload them here.
