Hi. My name is Lisa Beaudoin. I was severely abused as a child and struggled all my life because of it when I found out around 2012 that I suffer from multiple mental conditions… C-PTSD, BPD and Depression – I couldn’t get the help I needed but I’m a jack of all trades so I decided to combine what organization knowledge I have along with my own analogies and therapies that I’ve used for over a decade – then slowly I started to share with others.

I used to have website where I shared my ideas on how to stop abuse and change direction but everything I do so far is free, so I instead I created a YouTube channel called Lisa’s Chatroom.

I started uploading vid’s about 3 years ago, creating playlists for different topics of interest. Really, I’m a jack of all trades but admit I’m not very good at recording at all – I don’t have the best equipment (computer, interface, etc) but I felt the urgency to post videos to help others – I work one on one with anyone, survivors of abuse, substance issues… whatever’s caused them mental problem I’m here to share what I can to help them through.

In 2021 I had yet another family member die of a drug overdose so I’ve pushed through, my vid’s aren’t perfect but they have good content so now I’m going back and editing things while I add new videos as well. My channel doesn’t have many subscribers but even so it’s starting to get some views…

I was using EVM – they are very nice and it’s easy to use but it has some clipping issues so I decided to look for other editors when I found yours. I started using Shotcut about 2 weeks ago and although I’m still learning it’s quite awesome!

It is weird, at times difficult but sort of awesome too. I am now a producer and film maker… I’m actually liking the process and mostly that’s because Shotcut is so versatile and I’ll be able to get things done much better and faster… so thank you so much, it’s made a real difference.
