What is your operating system?
Ubuntu 22.04.4
What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)?
24.11 Appimage
Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
Every time Shotcut is launched, the window size gets smaller.

I do not reproduce this using Pop!_OS 22.04 (based on Ubuntu) with GNOME/X. I verified it using the xwininfo
that reports window sizes. It might be something in your environment that is affecting things (or a permission problem to write to its configuration file in your home directory).
Thanks for your reply. When I delete the config file, then it is recreated again. The only error I get when launching from Terminal is:
libDeckLinkAPI.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Searching apt, I get:
daniel@dkdt:~/AppImages$ sudo apt search libDeckLinkAPI.so
[sudo] password for daniel:
Sorting... Done
Full Text Search... Done
daniel@dkdt:~/AppImages$
Could it be this that is the cause? Any idea which library I might have missing?
After doing some more searching, I found this thread:
Tried:
daniel@dkdt:~/AppImages$ dpkg -l | grep qt6
daniel@dkdt:~/AppImages$
I am not sure, but it seems like I don’t have qt6 installed?
Update:
So I installed
sudo apt install qt6-base-dev
Then rebooted.
Shotcut second launch (using .desktop)
Window sized down by itself. With first launch (after sizing the window) the text under Video Mode button is fully visible, and notice that the Keyframes and Timeline tabs at bottom left are not visible. Once I drag the window down (which oddly is about 1 cm below the actual window bottom edge) then the tabs become visible.
