I’m not sure what you expect it to do. If you run the Shotcut app in full screen mode and your cursor hits the right edge of the screen it can’t go any further.
Either resize the timeline using the slider, or run the app in a smaller window, then your cursor can move outside the window, but it still can’t get past the right edge of the screen.
Other things you can do are:
- use the horizontal scroll bar (you can see in your video you can scroll more to the right to reveal a blank area)
- use the mouse wheel to scroll horizontally
- zoom out
- split a small slice off the end for temporary, drag it right to create a big gap, extend the first/original clip as desired, and remove the small temporary clip
