I’m trying to do voice overs on a video, I did one a couple of days ago and it worked great! After that however I couldnt get it to work, unsure what the problem was I decided to download the latest version of Shotcut and it started working again. However the first part of my audio (30 seconds to a minuite) is really choppy and parts have been cut out. Then it will be fine for about the next three minutes, then it just stops recording. I of course don’t realise this and just keep talking till im done and drag the audio into the audio track and see that it is significantly shorter than it should be. I have tried both MP3 and WAV and the same thing keeps happening. Its been 9 attempts now. Am I doing something wrong? Why was it fine and now its not?
Hard to say, but it could be due to system slowness to record while playing. You can also simply use the recorder app build into all operating systems. Just start it recording, go to Shotcut and start playing, narrate, stop and save the recording, and import the new recording into Shotcut.
