Version 18.10.08 won’t start on Mac OS 10.11.6. I rolled back to Shotcut version 18.08.14 and that starts OK.
It works for me on macOS 10.13.6 and 10.12.6. So, I cannot fix it. It is open source, so you can try to fix it yourself or stay on the version that works for you.
Is there a specific error you get? or a reason you’re still on osx 10.11.6 when the upgrades are free?
I reproduced a crash on OS X 10.10.5. I had to replace the build machine with something running macOS 10.12, and that is the minimum version now. I updated the web site with this information.
There is no specific error given, the OS starts to cheek the package then crashes without any explanation.
