Various shotcut issues

First and main issue is popping audio where two video files are joined together in the timeline. I think it happens when two clips are added to to the time line, then on clip is split so there are three clips, and then the middle clip removed. Any idea of a work around for that?

The second issue is I can’t see a way to add Text or HTML to a video with GPU rendering enabled, I’ve seen that they removed the Text filter, but the HTML one was supposedly still there, but it isn’t for me.

So now I want to disable GPU rendering so I can use the Text feature, but my edit uses the Brightness and Contrast filters which are done on the GPU so it can’t be re-opened. Which is a pain as those filters can be CPU based too. Any ideas on a work around for that?

Thanks

After you disable GPU see this for a simple way to remove GPU elements.

GPU processing was always an experimental feature (as was specified on the interface) and in the end turned out to be a failed experiment. It caused too many problems, which is why Dan now makes it difficult to choose it. In the past it was too easy for someone to tick the box without understanding that the experimental nature of this feature meant that it may or may not work.

As sauron points out, you can remove the GPU filters. There are standard (non-GPU) filters for Brightness and Contrast, so after you have removed the GPU filters you will have to re-apply your changes using these (CPU-based) filters instead.
